t-tech is the technology division of JSC "T-Bank" (formerly Tinkoff), specializing in the development of cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions. The company’s headquarters are located in Moscow, Russia. The history of t-tech began in 2020 with the establishment of the Artificial Intelligence Technology Center at T-Bank. The center’s primary mission is to develop AI solutions integrated into the bank’s operational activities, aiming to enhance efficiency, automate processes, and improve customer experience. From its early stages, t-tech has gained international recognition within the research community through publications at leading AI conferences, as well as through the creation of the Gen-T series of language models and groundbreaking work in reinforcement learning, optimization, and robotics.
In July 2025, t-tech introduced T-Pro 2.0, an open-source language model — the first Russian-developed model featuring a hybrid reasoning mode, an improved tokenizer specifically optimized for the Cyrillic vocabulary, and fine-tuning on a large-scale corpus of Russian-language texts. Thanks to these innovations, T-Pro 2.0 demonstrates leading performance on key Russian-language benchmarks, including MERA, ruMMLU, Ru Arena Hard, ru AIME 2025, and ru LCB, significantly outperforming models of comparable size. This makes it an ideal foundation for building conversational assistants and other AI applications in Russian.
The company actively promotes open-source initiatives: collections of T-Pro and T-Lite models, as well as specialized datasets such as T-Wix (500,000 Russian-language instructions) and benchmarks for evaluating model quality, are available on platforms like Hugging Face. All resources are published under the Apache 2.0 license, fostering the growth of the AI ecosystem both within Russia and internationally.
