How to Get Root Access?

In our Linux images, the root user is disabled. This is done for security reasons.

You gain access through a user named after the selected distribution: ubuntu, debian, etc. This user has system administrator-level privileges.

To execute commands as the superuser, use sudo.

You can also launch the user's shell: root — sudo -s.

Or perform an almost full root login (profiles, variables, HOME=/root, etc.) — sudo -i.
