To transfer a virtual machine (VM) between accounts, use the Resource Transfers section. The procedure is performed in two steps: initiation by the sender and confirmation by the recipient.
First, the sender creates a request: in the transfers section, click Create Transfer, specify an arbitrary name, select the Virtual Machine type and the required VM from the list (the storage type — Local or Volume-backed — does not matter). After clicking the Create button, the system will generate a unique code that needs to be copied and sent to the recipient.
Then, the recipient confirms the operation: in their account, they follow the same link and enter the received code in the corresponding field.
Important: the recipient's account balance must be positive, otherwise the transfer will not be executed.
After entering and confirming the code, the virtual machine is automatically moved to the new account and becomes available in the recipient's personal dashboard.
